DairyLive -- You CAN Take It With You!
Have you ever been in the barn and wanted to look up the last breeding date for a cow? But your computer is in the house or office, and it's just not that convenient to stop what you're doing and go get the information you need.
Well, now you can take all of your DairyLive data with you in your pocket using the new DairyLive Companion for the Palm OS. Here's how it works:
On your PC, use DairyLive to set up which check lists you want to download to the Palm (hand held device). All of the animals that appear on any check list will also be downloaded to the Palm along with dozens of properties for each, such as last breeding date, last milk weight, BST status, and so on. Now just press the HotSync button on your Palm device, and in a few moments the data will be downloaded from DairyLive on the PC to DairyLive Companion on the Palm.
Now take your Palm with you. Bring up a list of cows for one of your check lists, such as the "Bred not PG" list. As you do your work, enter any event for any animal, such as breedings, preg checks, calvings, and herd health events. The next time you HotSync your Palm with your PC, all of the events that you entered will be uploaded back to DairyLive on the PC.
