This dialog can be used to add several animals at a time. You get to this dialog from the Tools->Enroll New Animals menu item.
Before starting to add animals, select the group you want the new animals to be placed in from the drop-down list in the upper left corner of the window. Also select the breed of the animals you are going to add. These items can be changed at any time.
To add an animal, simply type in the animal's barn name or number, birthday, sex, and computer or DHIA number (optional). You can also provide dates for the most recent calving, breeding, confirmed pregnancy, and dry-off. DairyLive will automatically add events for these dates. Then click on the Add button or press the Enter key on your keyboard. As each animal is added, it is listed in the box in the upper right part of the window. This is so that you can remember which animals you've already added. Then most of the fields are cleared, and you can immediately begin entering data for the next animal.
You can use the keyboard for all data entry to make things go faster. When you are all done, click on the Done button or press the Escape key.
