Add Reminder Dialog

You use the Add Reminder dialog to add a reminder for one or more animals. There are several ways to get to this dialog:

1. In the Herd Explorer, select an animal group on the left side, and then select one or more animals on the right side. Then select Object->Animal->Quick Add Reminder from the main menu.
2. In the List View, select one or more animals in your results list. Then select Animal->Quick Add Reminder from the main menu.
3. In the Reminder View, press the Add button on the bottom of the window.
4. In the Animal Details View, go to the Reminders page and press the Add button.

Apply Reminder To

This list shows the names of the animals to which this reminder will be applied. The contents of this list will depend on what animals were selected when you invoked this dialog. If there are animals in this list that you decided you do not want to include in this reminder, simply uncheck them.

Reminder Date

Enter the expected date of the reminder. By default, the value will be today's date but you will most likely want to change this. For information on entering dates, see Entering Dates.

Reminder Type

Select the type of reminder you are recording. To create your own event types or to modify an existing event type, see Event Type Editor. See Event Types for an explanation of the standard event types.

 

Notes

You can type any additional comments about the reminder into this field.

 

Additional Reminder Information

Depending on what type of reminder you are adding, you may be prompted for additional information.
